We are proud to announce improved indexing for Population!

Population has been listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) since July 2025 and has been part of the Diamond Discovery Hub (DDH) since December 2025.

These international bibliographic databases list open access, peer-reviewed journals that meet specific criteria for editorial quality and transparency across a range of disciplines and languages. Their data is open and freely accessible.

A mark of a journal’s editorial quality, inclusion in the DOAJ and the DDH enables potential readers and authors to more easily find a high-quality open access journal.

Finally, this indexing ensures greater visibility for articles published in the journals. DOAJ data is disseminated across the internet and retrieved by other information systems such as Scopus, Google Scholar, Dimensions, OpenAlex, etc., and by Unpaywall, whose data is used to indicate whether a journal has open access status.
